Chapter 12 – A Curse Is Not Something to Break, But Something to Enjoy
“Hello.”
“Hi.”
“Beautiful lady, who are you looking for?”
As Cecia entered the alley, the men inside spoke to her.
But Cecia’s interest was not in those men.
Right now, Cecia was searching for her lost husband.
How did she lose her husband?
On their first wedding anniversary, Cecia planned a trip with her husband, Adam Sinclair, the Marquis.
A long journey to a place nobody knew. How romantic.
Of course, Cecia was entirely responsible for Adam, who changed forms constantly.
That was thrilling in its own way.
But since he changed every five days, by the time they arrived at their next destination, he’d already be in a new form, so there was no real problem.
But trouble arose in the village they visited before coming here.
After enjoying a beautiful lake and on the day Adam changed forms, he happened to turn into a small bird.
A rare and beautiful bird, at that.
While Cecia left briefly to buy a birdcage, someone kidnapped Adam.
He was a rare bird, so someone must have stolen him on sight.
When Cecia returned with a birdcage and was left speechless, it was only natural.
Of course, after five days, Adam would change forms again, but if he changed while trapped in the cage, others might discover him in a different form.
So from then on, Cecia began searching for her husband—or rather, the bird that was stolen.
After searching, she found that the inn worker had sold the bird, the merchant who bought it sold it to another merchant, and that merchant had sold it to a shop in this alley.
But the problem was that it was now noon on the fifth day since Cecia lost her husband.
According to the schedule, Adam would have changed forms this morning.
He was no longer a bird, so Cecia had to find Adam in his new form.
Of course, if Adam saw her, he would run to her, but if he couldn’t, she had to find him herself.
‘Of all places……’
The person who bought the bird lived in a brothel alley.
That’s right.
It was an alley where women bought men with money.
That’s why the men in the alley were flirting with her.
To them, Cecia looked like a noblewoman come to buy a man.
‘Which shop was it?’
After pressuring the merchant and even paying him, Cecia learned the shop’s name.
She searched for the shop with the same name written on the sign as on the paper.
Amid all kinds of advances and temptations, Cecia’s steps stopped.
“Oh my. He’s handsome.”
Among the attractive men drawing customers in the alley, one man particularly caught Cecia’s eye.
Fair skin, blond hair, red lips, slender build and tall stature. He was an eye-catching beauty.
His clothes were worn, but the sexiness radiating from his face was overwhelming.
Other noblewomen searching for men in the alley crowded around him, offering prices and competing to claim him.
The man, surrounded by noblewomen, looked up and met Cecia’s gaze.
Drawn by those beautiful eyes, Cecia approached and opened her purse, taking out several gold coins.
“Shall we go upstairs?”
With that, the deal was done.
Cecia followed the beautiful man into the shop and up to the second floor.
Click.
As soon as the door closed, the man grabbed Cecia’s wrist, led her to the bed, and laid her down.
Cecia, lying on the bed still wearing her hat, blushed as the man climbed on top of her.
“Why? Did you fall for me?”
The man whispered in a sly voice.
Anyone would have thought he’d been doing this for over ten years.
A very experienced man.
“Will gold coins be enough?”
Cecia asked, her face bright red.
“Gold coins aren’t enough…… What else can you give me, Madame?”
“What else do you want? What should I give?”
“Well. For someone like you, I might let you stay here for five days and do nothing but that.”
“For five days?”
“I’ve already paid for the room, and told the owner someone would come looking for me, so I’ll use this room for five days.”
“Didn’t the owner find it strange? A handsome man in a birdcage?”
“Didn’t you think the cage would break?”
“Where did you get money? Birds don’t have money.”
“Oh, sitting n*ked in the alley, noblewomen passing by tossed gold coins to me.”
“You took them?”
“I used them to buy clothes and rent a room.”
“Did you do anything else?”
“Like what?”
“Sell your body, for example.”
“Madame.”
The beautiful blond man smiled sweetly.
“I started working today for the first time. You’re my first customer.”
“I hope I’m your first and last customer.”
“I’ll work for just five days and then leave.”
“Where will you go?”
“Wherever you want to go, Madame.”
At the man’s whisper, Cecia burst out laughing.
“I’m sorry. For making you go through this.”
“Being trapped and sold in a birdcage was a new experience, so it was fine. But you managed to find me.”
“I told you. I can recognize you at a glance, no matter what form, His Lordship.”
“Did you pick me because I was the most handsome?”
Adam was sometimes mischievous like this.
“Maybe I did.”
“It’s been a while since I was this handsome, hasn’t it?”
“I think so.”
“What form would you like next time?”
“All are fine. Any form.”
This was Cecia’s honest feeling.
She truly welcomed every form of Adam.
At this point, she wondered about the truth.
Did the previous Marquises really break the curse?
Or did the curse simply stop being a curse?
Maybe, the curse never broke and they kept changing forms until death.
But perhaps it stopped being a curse and so was said to be broken.
That was how Cecia felt now.
For Cecia and Adam, this was no longer a curse.
It was a fate that tied them together.
Once the curse stopped being a curse, there was no reason to break it or avoid it.
They simply enjoyed the fate given to them, just like now.
“Now that I’ve received the money, my first duty is to make you happy, Madame.”
Adam unfastened Cecia’s dress hooks.
He undid the front hooks, then removed her dress and corset.
Adam’s hands were skillful at unfastening dresses.
In an instant, Cecia was left only in panties and stockings.
“Where should I start kissing, Madame?”
“Where would you like to start?”
“Here?”
Adam teasingly rubbed Cecia’s plump n*pple with his tongue.
“Uuh……”
Cecia, watching the golden hair ripple across her chest with blurry eyes, closed her eyes.
After living with Adam for a year, Cecia had learned a rule.
He periodically changed into forms he’d been in before.
There was no guarantee when or how or in what order, but about twice a year, he’d take the same form.
For example, two months ago, he’d changed into the incredible handsome form from their wedding.
But this blond, s*xy beauty was a first.
It was the first time Cecia had seen such seductive, alluring beauty, and her heart fluttered anew.
The best thing about this curse was that it felt like living with a different man almost every day.
It wasn’t about picking and choosing, but she always had new experiences.
There was no room for boredom or monotony.
Familiarity would probably never enter their marriage.
Always new, yet always happy and always in love.
Could anything be more perfect?
Could anyone be as happy as she was?
“Huut……uuuh……”
A sensual m*an escaped Cecia’s lips.
She knew she was feeling much more than usual.
This alley, this atmosphere, and her decadent husband.
The mood alone melted her.
“Huuung……!”
Adam’s lips, after licking her br*asts, slid down to her lower belly and began to lick her stocking-clad thighs, making Cecia writhe on the bed.
“You’re already wet here, Madame.”
Adam whispered as he rubbed the middle of her stained panties.
Each time he whispered, his moist breath dampened the inside of her thighs.
“Ahut……!”
Her panties were stripped off and thrown under the bed, and in the bright daylight, sunlight poured through the window as Cecia exposed her private area.
Her l*bia twitched lewdly.
Adam blew warm breath onto her wet l*bia and began to lick her red membranes with his tongue.
He licked, rubbed, and sucked, and Cecia’s body bounced on the bed like a fish out of water from the intense pleasure.
“Hng! Ah! Aa! Ah!”
Unable to bear the pleasure, Cecia arched her back.
Long, slender fingers pressed inside her entrance and stirred, making wet sounds echo messily.
“Aaah! Ah! Ah!”
Adam moved up, sucking her n*pples while working his hands.
Pinned under him, Cecia writhed.
Her hips were already soaked and making squelching noises.
“Alright, Madame. Now I’ll put it in. This is a first, isn’t it?”
Adam grinned mischievously, unfastened his trousers, and pulled out his p*nis.
As he said, this was the first time for this p*nis.
Below his golden hair, a clean-colored p*nis appeared.
Long, sleek, and above all, pink.
“Aaaah!”
When Adam rubbed the pink, sleek p*nis against her wet entrance, Cecia almost lost her breath.
“Huuung!”
Adam lifted her legs from below, raising her hips and spreading her entrance wide.
Then, opening her wet folds, he pushed the slick p*nis inside without hesitation.
“Haaaang!”
Feeling the sensation for the first time in five days, Cecia arched her back and cried out almost in a scream.
Her hot, moist insides welcomed Adam’s p*nis and squeezed it tightly.
Thump, thump—
As Adam thr*st without hesitation, Cecia’s body shook.
It was hard to breathe, hard to keep her eyes open.
Pleasure raced through her whole body.
The hot shaft pierced through her, filling her insides, then withdrew and thr*st in again.
The heat surging inside made Cecia stretch her arms out.
Adam lowered his body into her arms.
Cecia wrapped her legs around his waist, pulling him close.
The two moved as one on the bed.
Someone passing outside the room muttered, [Goodness, making a racket at lunchtime], but the two didn’t stop.
It was only their first anniversary.
There were still countless days ahead, but not knowing what tomorrow would bring, the Marquis and Marchioness spent every day as a new day, passionately exploring each other.
Added Story: The Stray Cat Who Became a Future Husband
“Meow.”
Cecia stopped walking when she saw a kitten meowing in the rain.
“Why are you getting wet out here?”
The kitten was small, probably only a few months old.
A cat with gray eyes and yellow fur ran to Cecia’s feet under her umbrella.
“Did you lose your mother?”
“Meow. Meow.”
The kitten kept rubbing its face against Cecia’s ankles.
“If you stay in the rain, you’ll catch a cold. Let’s go to my house for now.”
Cecia picked up the kitten and put it in her basket.
“There’s a sick mother in my house. You must stay quiet until I take you into my room, so she doesn’t worry. Understand? I’ll give you some milk later.”
“Meow.”
As if understanding, the kitten meowed sweetly.
After returning home, Cecia quickly brought the basket to her room and peeked into her mother’s bedroom.
‘She’s sleeping……’
Cecia quietly closed the door and headed back upstairs to her room, opening the basket and taking out the kitten.
“Let’s wipe off the rain.”
She took out a towel and dried the kitten, then poured warm milk into a dish she brought from the kitchen.
The kitten, apparently very hungry, drank the milk with loud slurping sounds.
“You must’ve been really hungry.”
Watching the kitten drink, Cecia pulled out a blanket and spread it under the bed.
“After you finish, sleep here. I’ll go make dinner and come back.”
Cecia patted the kitten’s head once and went back outside.
When she finished making dinner and returned to her room, the kitten wasn’t sleeping on the blanket under the bed, but was curled up asleep on Cecia’s bed.
“If you like it here, you should sleep here.”
Cecia lay down next to the kitten sleeping on her bed and gently touched the kitten’s front paw as it purred softly.
Both the paw and the fur were soft.
“You’re so pretty. Should we live together?”
But the sleeping kitten didn’t answer.
“If you have nowhere to go, stay here with me. I’ll take good care of you.”
Mumbling as she stroked the kitten’s paw, Cecia soon fell asleep herself.
The sound of rain from the window, the kitten’s gentle breathing, and the softness of its fur—all of it was enough to lull her to sleep.
Before morning came, the kitten was gone, apparently having left through the window.
Since the rain hadn’t stopped, Cecia worried and took an umbrella to look for the kitten, but couldn’t find it near the house or where she first saw it.
In the end, she comforted herself by thinking the kitten must have found its mother and headed home.
From afar, a man watched Cecia as she headed home.
“Your Lordship, please board the carriage now.”
The man holding the umbrella paused at the butler’s urging, then looked again at Cecia as she walked away.
“I’ll repay the kindness of the milk someday.”
Muttering those words, the man boarded the carriage.
And the carriage carrying the man disappeared into the rain.
It was a day five years before Cecia received that sudden marriage proposal.
