“I’m tired. I want to stop now.”
Dowook tilted his head slightly. He raised his subtly thick eyebrows as if to ask what that meant.
“You and I have been together for fifteen years, and we’ve been dating for eight.”
“Only eight years.”
“Yes, eight whole years.”
Dowook’s eyes darkened ominously. With those eyes, he called her softly, “Junhee.”
“I must have upset you because I’m drunk today. Are you angry because I called you out late at night while drunk? I won’t do it again. I’ll listen to you. I’ll be damn obedient. Please cut me some slack. You don’t contact me. You say you will, but you damn well don’t. So of course I’d be upset, wouldn’t I?”
“Being by your side isn’t enjoyable at all. It’s not exciting.”

He stubbed out his cigarette on the windowsill, glaring at her. His gestures were irritable. Then, as if the buttoned collar filling his nape was suffocating, he roughly pulled down the neckline of his shirt.
He glared at her as if he wanted to kill her. Junhee looked back at him defiantly. Dowook smirked.
“If it was going to be like this, we should have just had car sex.”
A low, deep laugh brushed against her nape.
