If Heidi’s life could be expressed in a single word, it would be ‘misfortune’.
As if she had somehow earned the hatred of God, every choice she made rushed toward the worst possible outcome.
But they say no misfortune lasts forever. At the very moment she thought she would surely die, that man came to her.
“Where could you have been, I wondered. It’s good to see you, Heidi.”
Seen through the pouring moonlight were rain-soaked, pure white hair and golden eyes shining like moonlight.
The man who had saved her from the mud asked,
“Do you want to return home? The answer is already decided, so you may reply comfortably.”
“Well, if the answer is already decided.”
His red lips drew a graceful curve.
“In any case, you can’t leave here. You’ve been kidnapped by me.”
Was there really any need to describe rescue or protection like that? Heidi blinked blankly in disbelief.
Somehow, it seemed that after misfortune had left, something strange had come in its place.
