Chapter 30
He roughly yanked off his cravat and threw his jacket aside, then lifted Rosie in his arms and headed for the bed.
Despite his angry face, his hands were gentle as he laid her down.
His kisses seemed as if they would swallow all of Rosie. His thick tongue swept inside her mouth, entwining with hers. While Rosie struggled to catch her breath, he steadily unbuttoned his shirt and loosened her neckline.
When his lips finally parted, Rosie gasped as if she’d just run a lap.
“Theo, Theo.”
His nose grazed Rosie’s neck. His full lips pressed slowly from her neck to her shoulder and collarbone, as if marking her as his own.
He moved down to her chest and parted his lips.
“Ah!”
Theo bared his teeth and bit her.
“This is punishment. Spending time with another man while your husband waits.”
He whispered lowly, then sucked hard at the same spot.
“That… Theo, it hurts!”
“Is it only painful?”
He licked her chest mound, then bit another spot.
“Mmm! S-stop.”
At first it was only pain, but soon a strange feeling crept in.
Her n*pples, exposed to the air, stood up and trembled. She couldn’t tell if it was fear or anticipation.
When Theo’s mouth sucked in her n*pple, Rosie’s back arched.
The sharp sensation and the heat of his tongue felt like a burn. His hand gently caressed her other br*ast, pinching her n*pple between two fingers and lightly scratching it with his nails.
“Hng!”
A tingling sensation ran down her spine.
Sitting up, he looked down at Rosie, who was breathing hard, with deep eyes.
He didn’t say anything, but tonight Rosie felt she understood him a little more.
Theo had looked forward to this trip as much as she did. He never wanted to leave her alone.
Rosie reached out.
“Theo, hold me.”
He obediently embraced her like a big beast.
“I love you, Theo.”
As soon as she spoke, something tore.
‘It was a dress I really liked.’
She’d had it made especially for this trip, but thankfully she wasn’t so tactless as to mention it aloud.
“Sorry. Just for today. I don’t have the patience.”
“It’s fine…”
Before she could think further, he grabbed both her hips and spread them. His thick shaft plunged inside, splitting her body.
“Hng!”
She felt a sharp pain from not being fully ready.
Theo licked her lips, as if animals tended each other’s wounds.
“Rosie.”
His low voice, almost a m*an, was sweet.
She liked seeing Theo so desperate for her. It made her happy to see him lose his composure just for her, rather than his usual dignified self.
“Do you have room for other thoughts?”
His movements grew rougher, and soon the fl*ids welcoming him made wet sounds.
“That’s not it, ah, ah!”
Theo sat up, lifted Rosie, and changed their position, leaning her against the bed’s headboard. She instinctively clung to his neck, hearing his low, breathy laughter. Theo slowly withdrew his hands, and his shaft slipped inside her.
“Mmm! Too deep…”
He pressed even deeper and whispered in a low voice.
“Move, Rosie.”
“Me?”
He nodded.
Hesitating, Rosie realized she was looking down at Theo. It felt oddly satisfying.
His black eyebrows, straight nose, thick lashes, and mysterious gray eyes.
This man, crafted like a god’s masterpiece, was her husband.
No man in the world could compare to him.
He loved her more than anyone, and she loved him most.
She stroked Theo’s cheek, then gently lifted his chin with her fingers. Meeting his gaze, Rosie turned her head and kissed him lightly. Once, twice. Then she nibbled his lower lip. Theo’s hands tightened around her waist.
She copied his movements, licking his lips, feeling his shaft grow inside her.
“Hurry, move.”
His urgent hands lifted her hips up and down.
Following his movement, Rosie carefully rocked her hips.
“Like this?”
Theo nodded silently, swallowing hard.
“Ha…”
A low m*an escaped his red lips. Rosie, encouraged, moved her hips more.
Theo’s shaft, now fully hardened, prodded places it hadn’t before. A new kind of pleasure crept over her.
One hand around her waist, his other hand squeezed Rosie’s full br*ast.
He flicked her n*pple, then lowered his lips and licked her chest.
“Ah! Wait, wait!”
At the same time, his hips thr*st up hard.
“You told me to… ah!”
Theo’s strong arms wrapped her waist.
“I can’t hold back anymore.”
Rosie’s body shook like a paper sheet, unable to keep up with his movements. If not for his arms, she might have been thrown off the bed.
He thr*st harder and deeper than ever, making her nearly lose her mind.
“Wait, wait, Theo!”
Despite her protests, Theo didn’t stop. Wet sounds echoed as her fl*ids flowed. Rosie clung to his neck, and Theo licked her nape, murmuring low.
“Mine.”
“Ah!”
He moved inside her even harder. After a few thr*sts, she felt warmth spreading inside her.
“Ha, ha…”
Rosie buried her face in his shoulder, breathing heavily.
She felt Theo’s long fingers gently stroking her back as her eyes fluttered shut. Her eyelids soon grew heavy.
Even as Rosie slept, Theo held her close. He stroked her round head and leaned against the bed’s headboard.
He didn’t know why he felt uneasy. Even knowing Rosie loved him, the anxiety wouldn’t leave.
“What should I do, Rosie?”
After holding her for a while, Theo slowly laid her on the bed. As he withdrew, white fl*id spilled onto her thigh.
Even just the traces he left on her body made Rosie his woman.
“Fool.”
Theo wiped his face, sighed, and gently untangled her sweat-soaked hair. He kissed her briefly as she slept and whispered,
“I wish you’d only look at me, Rosie.”
He swallowed the urge to lock her away and keep her to himself as he fell asleep, holding Rosie.
* * *
Even at breakfast, Theo was quiet, clearly in a bad mood.
‘I thought last night was fine. What’s wrong now?’
Things had been good before she fell asleep. At least Rosie thought so. She thought Theo felt the same.
Her shoulders drooped. Chewing her food, she spoke hesitantly.
“Are you feeling down?”
Theo finally looked at her, though he soon looked away.
“No, I’m fine.”
‘Fine? You look miserable.’
Rosie sighed softly. Silence settled over the breakfast table.
“If you’re uncomfortable seeing Stefan, I can go alone.”
Theo’s brows furrowed sharply as he put down his fork. He threw down the napkin he’d used to wipe his mouth.
“Are you saying you want to see the show alone with Stefan?”
“No, that’s not it. I just thought you seemed uncomfortable.”
He ran a rough hand through his hair and sighed deeply.
“Don’t you notice anything in the way Stefan looks at you?”
“What?”
Rosie frowned.
“He’s full of lingering feelings. You’re saying you’ll be alone with him, seeing that?”
“Theo, I don’t want to do anything with Stefan. I just want to see Loranta’s show.”
“Don’t you see the show’s just an excuse? He just wants to be with you.”
“What does it matter? I’m not interested.”
“Ha.”
Theo turned his head. His tense jaw showed his feelings. Rosie began to feel upset.
Seeing Loranta’s show was nearly impossible. She rarely visited the Empire, and tickets were hard to get. Rosie, who’d fallen for Loranta after seeing her from afar, couldn’t miss this once-in-a-lifetime chance.
“Are you doubting me?”
“It’s not doubt…”
“If not, I don’t get why you’re so sharp. You’ll have to go work anyway. I’ll be alone. Can’t I at least see the singer’s show I’ve always admired while you leave me alone?”
Theo’s gray eyes, set in a hard face, turned to her.
Another tense silence followed. Rosie bit her lower lip and stared back. His gaze soon dropped. Thick lashes hid the emotions in his eyes.
Seeing his hard mouth, Rosie felt hurt. She’d looked forward to this honeymoon. She didn’t want to fight with Theo.
“Theo, I…”
Just as she spoke, Theo stood up.
“Fine. Do what you want. Go with Stefan if you want.”
He turned away without hesitation. Rosie, suddenly angry, shouted at the closing door.
“Fine! I’ll go with Stefan! You stubborn fool!”
Bang!
Rosie glared at the closed cabin door, then buried her face in her hands.
“Idiot, dummy.”
