Chapter 32
“…”
“…”
No words were needed. Only eyes filled with complete longing passed between them. Because of Wooseok’s unwavering gaze, Eunjae didn’t even notice him unbuttoning her blouse one by one. Thud. Thud. Thud. Each button came undone, and the peak of her chest seemed to tingle with sensitivity.
He didn’t even touch her directly, yet an aching desire was awakened. She wanted to beg him to touch her quickly. Eunjae, without fear, grabbed Wooseok’s hand and placed it on her chest. Surprised for a moment, Wooseok lowered his body and whispered in her ear.
“Should I touch you?”
“…Mm. …Ah.”
Before Eunjae could finish answering, Wooseok’s hand slipped inside her bra. Her blouse was only half undone, but he found her chest and gripped it firmly.
“Ah. Slow… ahh…”
His rough handling made Eunjae feel pain and her mind go blank. Her toes curled, her waist tensed on its own. The defenses were already gone. Eunjae knew. When Wooseok pushed her bra aside and buried his face there, she surrendered and turned her head.
“Haa. Ah, ah… please…”
When her peak entered his mouth and he sucked hard, electricity spread through her body. The sensation was incomparable to anything before. Endless shivers kept striking her head. Eunjae could only grab Wooseok’s head, which stayed stubbornly at her chest.
“Haa, ahh. Stop, please… ahh…”
Holding his head, Eunjae reached cl*max. Before her trembling body could settle, her lower half was undressed. His hand slid below her waist, down to her hips, making her shiver all over.
“Wooseok, ah, mm… haa…”
At some point, he’d slipped on a condom, and his aroused member thr*st deeply inside. Eunjae flailed, writhing. The sudden penetration left her speechless. She barely grabbed his shoulders, but the feeling of flesh tearing through her made her vision go yellow.
“Haa… Sorry. I can’t control myself.”
He should have just kept quiet. Eunjae bit her lip, glaring at him. Wooseok stroked her cheek, meeting her eyes. While she was distracted by his gentle caress, his hips moved more wildly. If he was going to be gentle or rough, he should pick one. The animalistic thr*sts pushed her body up against the head of the bed. Eunjae tried to push his chest away, but it was hopeless.
“N-no… it’s too much…”
She felt the blunt tip of him hit somewhere inside, making her scalp tingle. She had to clench tighter to keep from tearing inside. She knew the tighter she squeezed, the more Wooseok groaned and sped up, but she couldn’t help it.
“Haa… I love you, Shin Eunjae.”
When Wooseok’s groaning confession reached her, Eunjae couldn’t resist anymore. Her hands, which had been pushing him away, wrapped around his neck. “I love you”—that confession made her forget her fear. It felt miraculous, even funny. Absurd, but comforting. Because his words reached her, her heart felt alive. Eunjae felt complete fulfillment in both body and soul.
“Me too… I… love… you…”
When Eunjae confessed back, she felt Wooseok’s body flinch. He hugged her tightly, diving even deeper. The relentless teasing of his flesh inside her made her mind go hazy.
Maybe this was the fine line between pleasure and pain. Eunjae was breathless to her throat, unable to even exhale. Wooseok, clutching her fluttering body, drove toward the end, groaning against her neck. At that moment, heat spread from below. Even as he cl*maxed, Wooseok thr*st deep inside once more, making Eunjae go limp.
When she opened her eyes, her bare chest was in view. Had she passed out from exhaustion? Eunjae felt herself unmoving in Wooseok’s arms and had to smile. She lifted her head slightly and saw Wooseok sleeping with his eyes closed.
If she moved, he’d wake up. Thinking that, Eunjae couldn’t do anything. If he’d drunk strong whiskey, he must have wanted to sleep soundly tonight. Just seeing the empty glass, Eunjae could read his intentions.
It was just as she’d thought, which was why she couldn’t help but come to his place. Somehow, it felt like she’d given him intense comfort, and she kept giggling to herself. So now, every time they met, they reached these kinds of endings. The shift from friends to lovers finally felt real.
What was the difference between friends and lovers? The worries she had when they started seemed pointless now—he was her complete lover. Eunjae couldn’t forget the feeling of Wooseok’s body filling her. She finally understood what it meant to become one physically.
Eunjae quietly gazed at his face again. This was the best part of being lovers—being able to watch his sleeping face openly. Before, she’d had to sneak glances; even seeing Wooseok asleep wasn’t easy.
“Would it still be too much for you to wake up with a kiss?”
Wooseok spoke with his eyes closed, startling Eunjae.
“You were… awake?”
She always got caught in moments like this, embarrassed and shy. Eunjae tried to push Wooseok away and get up, but he immediately pulled her back into his arms. Wooseok pressed her back firmly against his chest, determined not to let go. Eunjae quickly gave up. She wanted to stay like this for a while too.
“…How’s your mother?”
Eunjae gently stroked Wooseok’s hand resting on her lower belly and asked carefully. She thought it was time to ask and know. Waiting for him to say it might not be the best approach, so Eunjae decided to be proactive.
“I took her to the hospital. …She needs surgery.”
Wooseok explained everything to Eunjae now, with nothing left hidden.
“Tell me when it’s hard.”
Her sudden offer made him smile against her neck.
“What are you planning?”
“Anything. I’m your girlfriend… I should help.”
When Eunjae gripped his hand tightly, Wooseok buried his face deeper at her neck and answered.
“It’s already enough.”
It was true. The advice and strength he received from Eunjae had pulled Wooseok up from rock bottom. It gave him courage to speak, to admit his mistakes and ask for forgiveness, and to express the feelings he’d wanted to share. What more could he ask of a lover? Wooseok truly thought so.
“Is it enough?”
Eunjae wriggled slightly as she spoke. He instantly understood what she meant.
“The heart feels that way, but the body seems to think otherwise.”
As his already hardened lower body nestled between Eunjae’s hips, it began to act as if it belonged to someone else. Despite their serious conversation, his body’s signals were honest. So, there was nothing he could do.
“You’re really the boldest person ever.”
Eunjae, as if she wouldn’t let him off this time, pushed him away and slipped off the bed. Wooseok felt regret, but if he tried to hold her any longer, he would lose control, so he just let out a long sigh. Yet his gaze was fixed on Eunjae’s bare body, unadorned by anything. How could the act of turning away to put on underwear look so provocative?
“Shin Eunjae.”
“…Yeah?”
Eunjae, focused on changing clothes, answered absentmindedly.
“Let’s live together.”
If it felt so disappointing to let her go, he thought that was the only answer. Anyway, he had no intention of dating or marrying anyone but Shin Eunjae. He’d blurted out marriage before and gotten treated like a lightweight, so this time he tried a different route. It was all the same in the end, but maybe her answer would change.
He considered using work as an excuse to move in together, then later arguing that living together meant they should get married. Eunjae was the careful type who found it hard to start anything. If things went on like this, Wooseok worried that it would take as long as his years of one-sided love to get from dating to marriage.
“If we live together, are you going to ask me to marry you in less than a month?”
Eunjae finished dressing quickly and turned to look at him, asking. Had she read his mind? Wooseok found it both amazing and a little creepy. Feeling like he’d been caught again, he got up and hurriedly put on his pants. He moved quickly, worried she might suddenly take a taxi and leave alone.
“Jung Wooseok.”
“I know, I won’t rush. Just don’t say you’ll leave me.”
Wooseok finished putting on his pants and grabbed his T-shirt in a hurry.
“Then, do you want to come to my house this weekend and meet my family?”
With his T-shirt halfway on, he froze and stared at Eunjae.
“What… did you just say?”
He wondered if he’d heard wrong. Shin Eunjae’s expression was no different than usual.
“I don’t want to hide anymore.”
Eunjae shrugged her shoulders and smiled as if it was nothing.
“No, actually, I just want to show off that I like you. That’s the real reason.”
As soon as she finished speaking, Wooseok sprang up from his seat. Knowing what was about to happen, Eunjae quickly backed away.
“Hey, if you keep going here, I won’t be able to walk.”
Eunjae kept her distance, almost as if asking for mercy. But Wooseok approached right up to her nose, as if he didn’t care about her protests. Then he pulled Eunjae into his arms.
“I just need to check if this is a dream.”
He offered his own excuse. Eunjae had nothing to say. She even pinched Wooseok’s back hard on purpose. He pretended it didn’t hurt at all and hugged her tighter. Dangling from his body, Eunjae wore the happiest smile.
