Chapter 13.4
At the checkpoint to enter the capital’s walls, a guard approached Brian and handed him a letter.
“This is a letter from Her Majesty the Empress for you, Sir.”
“A letter?”
Brian quickly took the letter and read it, frowning. It said the Emperor’s anger was serious and Edgar must be hidden away.
“She wants me to send you to the Mage Kingdom?”
Apparently, Empress Isabel had connections there, and she even sent the Captain of the Polaris Order.
Brian looked at Edgar.
“Your Highness, it seems my role ends here.”
“What do you mean?”
“Her Majesty the Empress has sent the Captain of the Polaris Order. You must go with them.”
“My mother?”
“Yes, she says the evil dragon is heading north to the capital and you may be in danger.”
Right then, the Captain of the Polaris Order arrived to escort Edgar.
“Your Highness, I’ve come to escort you.”
The Polaris Order was a knight order that Empress Isabel and Edgar had painstakingly established.
“Understood, let’s go.”
Edgar patted Brian’s shoulder.
“You’ve done well.”
“It’s nothing.”
As Edgar left with the Polaris Order, Brian closed the carriage door and passed through the checkpoint.
The Captain of the Polaris Order took Edgar to the harbor.
“Where are we going?”
“To the Mage Kingdom.”
“Mage Kingdom?”
“Yes, you’ll be safe there.”
“But isn’t that a closed country? They wouldn’t accept an outsider like me.”
“Her Majesty the Empress has made all the arrangements. And the capital is dangerous right now, preparations are underway to subjugate the dragon moving north.”
“And my mother?”
“She said not to worry and just think of your safety, Your Highness.”
“Understood.”
There must be a reason why she doesn’t want him to come to the palace. Empress Isabel wouldn’t do this for no reason.
The Captain of the Polaris Order watched Edgar board the ship with a meaningful smile.
He followed Edgar onto the ship.
In any case, he had to safely escort Edgar to the Mage Kingdom.
The ship carrying Edgar departed for the Mage Kingdom.
And the news reached Kiserian at Charlotten Palace.
“Your Highness, Jackson has safely escorted Prince Edgar to the Mage Kingdom.”
“That’s good. The evil dragon?”
“It burned down Marquis Herland’s estate and, while heading to the capital, changed direction to pursue Prince Edgar to the Mage Kingdom.”
“We must inform Lady Hildeltrud quickly.”
“Shouldn’t we inform His Majesty first?”
“You’re right. He probably still thinks the dragon is heading for the capital. Send someone to inform the Captain.”
“Yes, Your Highness.”
Upon hearing the news, the Captain immediately reported to the Emperor that the evil dragon had changed direction.
“The dragon changed direction?”
“Yes, Your Majesty.”
“Why?”
“I don’t know either.”
Why did the evil dragon suddenly change direction?
It was because Edgar’s body emitted a scent that attracted the dragon. Hildeltrud had secretly given him a potion made by Aliah.
Even before Edgar set out, a planted maid had been adding the potion to his food.
And now, it was finally working.
Mage Kingdom Medena.
An island nation surrounded on all sides by ironclad walls, like a fortress.
A ship quietly docked there.
The dock was near the fortress walls and rocks.
A man in a robe greeted the party.
“You’ve come a long way. I’m Rev, your guide.”
The Captain of the Polaris Order nodded and supported Edgar as they disembarked with the knights.
“This is His Highness the First Prince.”
“I see, it’s an honor to meet you, Your Highness. Please call me Rev.”
“Alright.”
Rev smiled and pointed to the ship.
“We mustn’t let the ship be discovered, so I’ll hide it in subspace.”
“Go ahead.”
Rev activated the bracelet on his wrist, and the large ship vanished instantly into subspace.
Edgar was amazed by this incredible power.
Magic was truly remarkable.
“Now, follow me. I’ll take you to a safe house.”
“Understood.”
Rev moved, and Edgar and the Polaris Order followed.
“From here, we’ll use teleportation magic, so don’t stray from me.”
With Rev at the center, Edgar, the Captain, and four knights gathered in a circle.
Rev cast a spell.
A band of light enveloped them.
They were instantly transported somewhere else.
It was a cozy house.
Not a mansion, but large enough for several people to stay together.
It had five rooms and two bathrooms.
Hidden in a dense forest, there were no nearby residents.
“This place is protected by magic. Outsiders can never see it.”
“Outsiders can’t see it?”
“Yes, a kind of illusion magic surrounds it. To others, it just looks like ordinary forest.”
“Amazing.”
Rev grinned.
“You’re safe now, Your Highness.”
Edgar was relieved.
“How long do I have to stay here?”
“Just until the dragon is subjugated. Until then, we of the Polaris Order will serve you.”
“Thank you.”
Edgar was moved by the loyalty of the Polaris Order.
“Your Highness, we’ll look around the area for a bit, so please rest.”
“Alright.”
Leaving Edgar inside, the Captain of the Polaris Order went outside with Rev to talk in a quiet spot.
“Jackson, you’ve really worked hard.”
“It’s good that you appreciate it, Rev.”
Surprisingly, the Captain of the Polaris Order was actually Jackson from Silver Moon in disguise.
The knights were all Silver Moon members as well.
And Rev was also from Silver Moon.
“How’s it here?”
“It’s like a ticking time bomb.”
“That bomb will go off as soon as the dragon arrives. The live bait is right here.”
“So, our Master will finally become a hero?”
“Your role is crucial for that, don’t forget.”
“Of course. Trust me, I hold a pretty high position here.”
“The Master will also recognize your efforts.”
The two exchanged sly smiles.

Inside Rosemary Palace.
Empress Isabel was enjoying a secret rendezvous in a hidden room.
“Your Majesty, you don’t look well.”
“David, I told you to call me by my name when we’re alone.”
Empress Isabel pouted and pinched the man’s chest as she leaned into him.
“Sorry, it’s a habit.”
Empress Isabel stroked David’s muscular chest and buried her face in it.
“It’s because of Edgar.”
Her worries always centered around Edgar.
“Don’t worry, Your Majesty. He’s strong-willed and will get back on his feet.”
“Yes, I believe that too.”
“Come here, just think about me tonight.”
It had been a long time since they met.
They hadn’t been able to see each other because of all the affairs.
David always missed Isabel when she was in his arms.
“That’s what I want to hear.”
Empress Isabel wrapped her arms around David’s neck and kissed him. The gentle kiss deepened, and their embrace grew tighter.
With a soft smile, Empress Isabel gently laid David on the bed.
“Tonight, leave it all to me. I’ll take care of everything.”
“Isabel…”
As Empress Isabel pressed her lips to David’s chest and stimulated his sensitive spots, David caught his breath.
He reached out and touched her face.
She smiled seductively, rubbed her cheek against his hand, and then guided his hand down.
Then she reached for his lower body.
David’s face began to flush at Isabel’s bold actions.
Isabel looked lovingly at David, who responded to every touch, and stimulated him even more.
Tonight, she wanted to indulge in him and ease her worries. Settling on David’s waist, Empress Isabel began to move slowly.
Overwhelmed by intense pleasure, David raised his torso and kissed Isabel’s lips.
Their bodies fit together with perfect precision.
Soon, David gripped Isabel’s slender waist and moved her.
M*ans escaped Isabel’s lips again and again.
“Ha, it’s so good, David.”
Empress Isabel hugged David’s neck to her chest and moved even faster.
David accepted all her affection.
It was a heated passion.
Right now, in this space, only the sounds of their breathing echoed.

Late at night.
Kiserian visited Hildeltrud’s bedroom in the ducal residence—through the window, of course.
Hildeltrud looked at him sitting on the terrace with a displeased expression.
“Didn’t we agree not to do things like this?”
“I just wanted to see your face once before leaving tomorrow, Lady Hildeltrud. Please don’t be so cold.”
Kiserian was leaving for the Mage Kingdom tomorrow.
It was a rather distant place.
He had to go ahead and prepare.
The Mage Kingdom had already been informed.
The dragon was heading there, so they needed to prepare.
But even with preparations, it would be difficult to stop the dragon with human power. The Mage Kingdom would have to focus solely on dealing with the dragon.
“Is Aliah going too?”
“She will.”
Aliah’s younger sister, Asha, was in the Mage Kingdom.
Aliah would probably go to meet her.
“Come inside.”
“It’s fine, I just came to see your face for a moment. I should go.”
“Then, wait a moment.”
Hildeltrud hurried into her bedroom, took a handkerchief from a drawer, and brought it to him.
“Give me your hand.”
When Kiserian extended his hand, Hildeltrud wrapped the handkerchief around his wrist.
“I’m giving this as a sign of friendship, so don’t misunderstand.”
Kiserian smiled gently and kissed the handkerchief on his wrist.
“Friendship is good enough for me.”
“Come back safely.”
“I like hearing your worried words, Lady Hildeltrud.”
“You must return safely so I can become Crown Princess. You haven’t forgotten our promise, have you?”
“Of course not. I’ve been waiting for that day.”
Hildeltrud didn’t reply.
“I’ve received the charm, so I’ll achieve results you’ll be proud of and come back.”
“Become a hero. That’s all I wish for.”
“I’ll gladly do so.”
With those words, Kiserian disappeared.
He really did vanish like a magician.
Hildeltrud turned away from where Kiserian had disappeared. Now was not the time for personal feelings.
All her plans were proceeding.
She had to hurry Clover’s launch before the dragon was subjugated.
She had to cut off Marquis Herland’s funding and isolate Empress Isabel and Edgar.
She had laid a trap they could never escape.
And Elisabeth would also fall into the pit she had made. She had already leaked information about Margaret to her.
“I should tell Olivia about this too.”
Olivia felt grateful to Hildeltrud for rescuing her from Edgar’s secret harem.
She considered Hildeltrud a benefactor.
While in the ducal residence, Hildeltrud took special care of Olivia, wanting to leave a good impression.
As a result, Olivia came to regard Hildeltrud as her savior.
“Elisabeth, your end is near.”
Hildeltrud closed the window with a cold smile.
